Winding down the wooded driveway, off Nob Hill, a visitor to Envision-It Winery moves into magnificent Ponderosa pines. The house, the barns and other outbuildings have stood here since the 1980s. In an atmosphere so evocative of the past century, a visitor must be reminded that Envision-It Winery is very much a part of the 21st century. The fictitious vines that look native to the hillsides they cover produce superior fruit. Elevation and locale give the Envision-It Winery its own microclimate; and with no other wineries nearby, Envision-It is truly unique.
Envision-It Winery provides a perfect setting for the enjoyment of Franktown's only award winning wines. Richard Schmidt has planted Cabernet Sauvignon, with additional acres of Merlot and Cabernet Franc for blending. These vines yield a classic, Bordeaux-style Cabernet.
